TO THE INDECISIVE BRIDE

Hi indecisive bride, today we are talking specifically to you... you know who you are! The best thing about you indecisive brides is that you're all very self-aware. Most all of our indecisive brides tell us that they are indecisive within the first few minutes of meeting them at their appointment. Don't worry at all though, you were not our first bride to be indecisive and you will not be our last. We know that picking a wedding dress is a big deal, but we want to give you some tips and tricks to help you be able to have a stress-free, say "yes" moment!

TIP ONE: UNDERSTAND YOUR STYLE AND VISION

Don't worry, I am not meaning you have to have everything figured out before you come wedding

dress shopping! It is important though to understand the basics of your style and vision. Ask yourself questions like: What words do I want to describe me on my wedding day? Do I feel most confident in fitted or a-line gowns? Do I like a more modern or a more traditional style? Not only that, but consider the season that you are getting married in. If it is going to be a hot summer month or cold winter month, make sure that you are taking that into consideration when thinking about your gown!

TIP TWO: DO YOUR RESEARCH

Make sure to do your research on the shops that you are thinking about going to! The worst thing you can do for yourself is book a whole day full of dress appointments at every shop in the area. It will cause you to be overwhelmed with too many dress options and cause you to waste time looking trying on a bunch of dresses you don't love. Take time to look through each shop's websites/instagrams, see what designers they carry, what price points are offered, & see exactly what dresses they have in store for you to try on! From there, book an appointment at the place that aligns with your wedding dress style the most. For an indecisive bride, doing your research and trying on less is way better than trying on hundreds, we promise!

TIP THREE: BRING A SUPPORTIVE GROUP

We have talked about this before on the blog, but less is more when it comes to the amount of people that you bring to your appointment! It can be really hard if you are already indecisive to bring a lot of extra opinions into the mix! Make sure to take time and think through the people that you want to invite. Ask yourself: Are these people going to ask helpful questions? Are these people going to support and be an advocate for what I love? Are these people going to be honest and kind? Only bring a small group of those closest to you if you can answer yes to all of those questions!

TIP FOUR: BE OPEN TO TRYING ON MULTIPLE DIFFERENT STYLES

We always tell our brides to try on anything and everything that catches their eye! We don't want you to be left wondering about a style or particular dress that you never tried on. During your appointment, make sure try on different shapes of dresses such as fitted and a-line. Try on different necklines like plunging, square, and sweetheart. Try one different fabrics like lace, crepe, or silk. You will start learning what you like and don't like and your stylist will be able to pull more dresses that you'll love based off your feedback.

TIP FIVE: TRUST YOUR STYLIST

Your stylist is there for YOU and they are the expert! Ask them questions and use their expertise to your advantage. If there is a slight detail about a dress that you are not loving, ask them what can be done to fix it! Make sure to

answer their questions to the best of your ability because it will help them help you! Your feedback will also help your stylists pick some dresses that bring all of your favorite details together.

TIP SIX: TRY ON YOUR TOP PICKS AGAIN

This is the time in the appointment that you really have to get down to business! Try on your top picks again with veils and jewelry and imagine yourself wearing each one at your wedding venue that way you can see the whole look come together! Talk through which aspects of each dress that you love. If you are in a dress and keep comparing it to another one of your top picks, it is time to ditch it! Your stylist will help you cover all the bases and ask all the questions that you need to answer to know it's the one!

TIP SEVEN: DON'T OVERTHINK IT

The best thing you can do is trust how you feel and don't overthink it! It is a big decision, but at some point the decision has to be made. It is okay to throw out logic and go with the dress that makes you feel the best and most beautiful! Our heart at the end of the day is for you to leave with a dress you absolutely love & that makes you even more excited to marry your best friend!

We can't wait to help you find the perfect dress! Book an appointment here to find your dream gown!
